A Park pass is required for any vehicle going inside the National Park. One pass per vehicle. If you already have a pass for your own vehicle, you can use that same pass. But, if you do not have a pass, then you can buy one at the gift shop next door to our store front, at the entrance gates, or online.

Gear for different weather conditions is NOT provided. Although helmets and goggles are indeed provided.

The UTVs are allowed to go inside the Grand Canyon National Park, including on paved roads. The UTVs should be treated as any other on-road vehicle, especially when inside the National Park. Do not drive on hiking trails or dirt roads that are closed, and only drive on designated roads.
The only modes of transportation allowed down inside the Grand Canyon are mules and your own feet by hiking.

It is a SELF-guided tour. Just like a rental car, drivers choose their own destination.

There are hundreds of miles of dirt roads in the National Forest. GPS and routes are provided, but riders can go on any open and designated road in the area.

If the passengers are safe and the unit is undamaged, call the phone number for the front desk. The units have tracking systems so the workers can see where the unit is located. They will help you get back to the store front.

The hold is a form of insurance the customer must agree on before starting the ride. A credit or debit card must be given upon arrival when picking up the unit and must have $1,500 for each rented unit. When the unit is returned with no damages the entire hold will be released. In case any damages occur, we will charge the total cost of parts and labor up to $1,500 but will not exceed that amount. Unless it is found the renter is negligent, Also the customer my be charged for down time, recovery fee and damages to flags, ice chest or items attached to the rental that are not included in the $1,500.00 hold.
For example, if a unit gets totaled and there is a total of $8,000 worth of damage, then the person who caused the damage will still only pay $1,500 for the damage. OR if a unit gets a small amount of damage and the total cost of parts and labor sum up to $480, then $1,020 will be released from the damage deposit. This is only covers damages to the vehicle itself, the hold does not cover down time or damage to the flags, whips, ice-chest, helmets and other safety equipment provided.

Anyone older than 18 years old with a VALID driver’s license may drive the unit.

A rider should be at least 48 inches tall, around 8 years of age or older.

Because you pay a gas charge with your booking, you don’t have to refuel the vehicle. If you need to refill the tank to be able to continue driving before you arrive back at the store front, if you plan on filling the gas tank up please call or ask the adventure center you rented from to advise you on what gas the vehicle takes, each unit is different and some units cant take lower grade gas.

No, and in fact, customers are not allowed to tow the units. Units must be picked up and returned to the National Park Airport at the main terminal. 3551 Airport Road, Grand Canyon, AZ 86023.

The units are street legal and, like a normal vehicle, traffic rules have to be followed.

The units go up to 75 MPH, but the speed limit MUST be followed.
