How Can You Help?
The coronavirus pandemic has now reached every state in the United States and as we are navigating through this time, one question has came to our mind: How can we help?
Mass school closures, travel interruptions and shortages of supplies in the medical field are all straining our community. The Williams community and everyone near the South Rim Entrance of the Grand Canyon are working together to try to help as much as we can.
If you have been displaced during this outbreak or if you are not able to return home, we want to help you. We have been working with multiple employees and businesses to make sure everyone has somewhere to stay during this difficult time. If you are looking to book a reservation, we would like to kindly remind you that booking directly on our site will save you extra money. We also have discounts available for our long term guests.
There are multiple non-profits and businesses that are trying to feed children who are out of school, visitors who are here and employees that are trying to keep businesses up and running. We Cook Pizza and Pasta and Spirit of the Canyon are working tirelessly to make sure no one is left hungry!
The United Way Worldwide has launched it’s COVID-19 fund, dedicated to helping with food, families, shelters and hospitals. Your donations can help the most vulnerable navigate through this pandemic.
Banner Health runs multiple healthcare facilities and hospitals nearby, including offices in Page. They have an information page about COVID-19, so that everyone has access to accurate information. You can also donate to them here. North Country Healthcare, which sits closest to the South Rim Entrance, also offers valuable resources.
If you are searching for more in-depth information about closures, the Grand Canyon National Park’s Facebook page is being updated daily. You can check their posts each morning for more information.
As we move forward, we can’t wait to see you back at the Grand Canyon in Williams and Page. We have many memories to be made and more exploring to do!
